Harwich scored another convincing win but finally finished third in the superleague table, tied with Colchester on points but losing out to a superior leg difference to their local rivals. Alan Collins (25.05), nursing a back injury, (Harwich seem to be the walking wounded at the moment) played a steady game to be Steve Prow (22.54) 3 - 0.
Kevin Edwards (29.47) would not have wanted the season to end the way he has been playing of late, this average could have been huge if it were not for a last leg of 24 darts. Edwards winning 3 - 0 against John Dudley (23.45).
Kevin Cook (21.22) had to dig deep to grind out a 3 - 2 win over Terry Pratt (21.04), something that he has failed to do in the past. Cook came from 2 - 1 down to win aided by a 120 finish.
Adrian Genery (24.53) ran into an inform Kevin Cottiss (28.90) and lost 3 - 0. Cottiss hit a 180 and scored heavily.
Scott Lawrie (27.33) beat Steve Cottiss 3 - 0 with the aid of a 100 finish. This win capped a brilliant year and helped Lawrie to finish Essex Superleague Player of the Year for the second time. Lawrie finished top in the most wins, most tons, highest running average and second in the most 180's.
Mick Chambers (24.12) did everything but win against wily old Andy Cole (23.63). Both players matched each other but in the last leg Chambers missed his chances and Cole accepted his. Chambers did have a 116 finish.

To his credit he hit back with a 12 dart leg, 180, 80, 134 and game shot on 107. Skipper George Lord has head-hunted Alan Mathieson ever since Harwich formed and finally has his man. Mathieson (23.53) was a little inconsistant with his scoring but his finishing power was superb as he beat county B man Martin Compton (23.51) 3 - 2 with finishes of 82, 89 and 97.
